Our story
Beauty is more than skin deep
Body & Soul opened in October 1998 on the corner of Kilmore and Barbadoes Streets, and on 1 August 2000 moved into the purpose-built premises on Washington Way where the salon still is today.
We often associate the word beauty with women, and the name ‘Beauty Therapy’ has the same connotation. Body & Soul recognises the word beauty as an expression of inner well-being that emanates from the Soul and therefore this applies to women and men as well.
We are interested in you as a person to help you maximise your true potential. If you look good, it follows that you will feel good about yourself also. Our bodies and faces often need a helping hand. Our expertise in all areas of aesthetics will give you an affordable remedy without the necessity of paying large consultation fees. Our therapists are trained in the use of products that contain active ingredients and can offer you the best advice to correct your skin concerns. High end products such as Priori LCA, Priori Q+SOD and Priori DNA Complex are part of our treatment range.
Image Skincare includes the following ranges: Vital C, Clear Cell, Ageless and Ageless+, Image MD, Ormedic and Image Daily Prevention.

Leonie Wilkinson
Leonie is the General Manager of Body & Soul and is highly qualified in all areas of Beauty Therapy with 30+ years’ Service to Beauty Therapy.
A degree at UC in Biochemistry 2018 complements my work and specialisation in the use of Lactic Acid, retinol and other active skin care products. My strength is my knowledge of age prevention using antioxidants. Not all skin care products are equal. This is a well-guarded secret kept by skin care companies and the multimillion-dollar industry it is. I complement my treatments with the trademark Omnilux Light and Celluma Light Therapies (LED), IPL for hair removal, pigmentation removal and skin rejuvenation, HIFU for Facial lifting and Cryopen for skin tag, solar keratosis and cherry angioma removal.
I will design a personal skin care program to achieve excellent skin quality for you without locking you into a long-term contract such as some other clinics do. The only commitment needed is for you to do it.

Electrology or permanent hair removal by thermolysis has been my strength for many years using this modality rather than IPL to remove non-pigmented hair particularly in mature male and female clients who need facial hair removed. We are a gender-nonspecific, friendly clinic.

While my qualifications are important, equally so is the ability to relate to people. Since the 1980s I have worked 15 years in a voluntary capacity for World Vision as an area representative and currently am still involved personally as well as the company sponsoring 3 children in India, Uganda, and Mozambique.
As a Toastmaster of over 29 years, I have an Advanced Toastmasters Gold Qualification and am currently working on a new Pathway called Persuasive Influence. I am currently VP Education for the club.

I have 26 years of experience as a Beauty Therapist and have worked at Body & Soul for the last 22 years. I am passionate about my work and love embracing new technology and assisting you in achieving great skin.
I love helping clients to look and feel their best. With many years’ experience in the Beauty Industry, I can help you achieve your goals. I specialise in skin diagnosis and facial treatments, Cryopen, IPL Laser, Lash Lifting, HIFU and can recommend the best skin care regime for you using our Priori or Image skin care active ingredients.
Book in with me for designer brows and lashes as they frame the face and are an essential for great presentation.

I specialise in relaxing massage to ease tension and help you switch off from everyday stresses—perhaps even drift off to sleep. As a working mother, I understand how important time for yourself can be for confidence and well-being. I enjoy building relationships with clients and helping you feel better about yourself.
My friendly, down-to-earth approach helps clients feel comfortable, whether they’re here for waxing, a facial or a massage.

Scarlett Bayley
Scarlett joined Body & Soul in November 2024 and has quickly become an invaluable member of the team.
After 2 years now working in Beauty Therapy, I have developed a professional and caring approach to all my treatments. I am particularly passionate about gel nails, eyelash extensions and facial treatments as they allow me to be creative and ensure great client care. I have recently trained in HIFU and look forward to helping clients with this new technique for a non-invasive facelift.
For several years I have coached a local competitive gymnastics squad. I am as passionate about my coaching as I am about working with teenagers, whether enhancing their lashes for a ball or helping them improve their skin. As a younger therapist I can relate to their needs. I like to help youth with sensitive and reactive skin.
I also enjoy consultations and the application of our makeup range – Youngblood Cosmetics.
