Having Trained in Electrology at the National School of Aesthetics in 1995-1996 and qualifying with CIBTAC and ITEC as the top student this skill has been my speciality. I have always preferred doing Thermology which is the use of heat at the tip of the needle rather than the Blend method which is slower and leaves behind tiny lumps of Caustic in the skin. Prior to using Laser or IPL, hair could only be treatment permanently by electrology. This could be used on white hairs, dark hairs and on darker skins unlike laser. Although the method is slower as is done hair by hair it is permanent and sometimes, we combine it with laser where there is some pigment in the hair. I have treated many men, women and trans women over the years getting proven results of hair removal. Spider veins or thread veins can also be removed by thermology. Often spider veins are visible where there has been a pinch on the cheek under the eye or on the forehead from a bump in teenage years. These will instantly disappear with cauterisation by thermology. Skin tags under arms, on necks or eyes can also be removed with Thermology often combined with freezing using our Cryopen technology. Milia removal is also done with electrology using Thermology to lift the fat pad out. This is a clean and simple treatment. |
