OMNILUX clear-U has been developed from an FDA cleared medical device that has been used by dermatologists worldwide for the successful treatment of acne.

When should I use Omnilux Clear-U?
Use Omnilux Clear-U at the first sign of an acne breakout. The treatment program consists of 8 treatment sessions spread over 4 weeks, 2 treatments a week. Use the blue light on the first treatment session; wait 2 days, then use the red light. Repeat this for the next 3 weeks.

What happens during treatment?
Your unit comes with 8 skincare packs. These skincare packs contain specially-formulated skincare to use in conjunction with Omnilux clear-U to maximize your results.
• Cleanse the face using the Preparation Tri-pak.
• Apply the treatment serum from the Treatment Tri-pak to the entire face.
• Fit the patient goggles supplied.
• Apply 20 minutes of light therapy, starting with blue light.
• After the treatment, apply the Aftercare Tri-pak to the entire face.
• Wait at least 48 hours until your next light treatment. (alternating thereafter between blue and red light).
A course of treatments is 2-20 minute treatments per week for 4 weeks, alternating blue and red light.
How does the treatment work?
One of the key bacteria responsible for the inflammation is Propionibacterium acnes (P.acnes). This bacteria produces natural chemicals called poryphyrins, which are sensitive to light at different wavelengths. When your skin is flooded with blue and red light, the bacteria self destructs and inflammation is decreased. Your acne fades and your skin heals. It’s as simple as that!
What results can be expected from a series of treatments?
Best results will be seen between 4-8 weeks after treatment. The light stimulates natural processes that occur after the treatment has stopped. Studies have shown complete clearance of lesions. On average you should expect 7 out of 10 acne lesions to clear.
How many treatments will I need?
The course of treatments is 2-20 minute treatments per week for 4 weeks of alternate blue and red light. However, because the light will not damage your skin, there is no limit on the number of treatments you can have.
How long do the effects last?
For most people, their acne is gone for six months. In some cases, follow up treatments (typically 2 to 4 treatments) may be necessary.
Is Omnilux clear-U safe and painless?
Yes. Subjects in our clinical trials have reported some skin redness after the first 1-2 treatments, but this is only temporary and will fade. No other adverse side effects were reported. This scientifically designed light source does not contain any harmful UVA or UVB rays.
Is Omnilux clear-U all I need for my acne?
Omnilux clear-U is not a substitute for good skin hygiene or a doctor’s care. Your doctor or skin specialist may recommend a topical skincare product to use alongside Omnilux clear-U.
How does Omnilux technology differ from Laser Treatment?
Light Therapy is non-ablative, meaning it does not cut, burn or break the surface of the skin (epidermis) as with Laser treatment. Lasers use heat and light to vaporize or remove skin tissue to evoke a healing response over 1 to 4 months. Even so-called “gentle lasers”, which leave the skin intact, create microscopic wounds on 15 to 20% of the skin surface, and cause redness for up to a week with some flaking as the skin regenerates. Omnilux technologies produce no heat, vaporization or burning of surrounding tissue, and thus, no inflammation (swelling) and no erythema (redness) following irradiation, and therefore “no downtime”. With Omnilux technology there are some immediate, visible changes to skin, but most changes occur naturally over a few weeks at the cellular level. Optimal results are seen 9-12 weeks from the start of the treatment course
